Water temps are still cool up this way. Especially if you're paddling
out on a foggy morning.

If the reports are correct we should have some fairly decent sized
NW windswell filling in late this afternoon/tomorrow morning in
the 8'-12' range. We'll see......

It looks like we've got some south swell on tap beginning to build in
Saturday, peaking Sunday thru Monday in the 4'-5' range. I've got a
little more hope for this one!!

It's been a terrible summer around Monterey Bay for surf so far
this year.

Went out around 9am, waves were head high, 5-6ft face, bumpy, had the south side HB pier to myself. Fun stuff

I just got home from the nicest session around here in months.

That windswell DID fill in! 8) Some good 8' faces on the bigger ones,
close interval swell, had to duckdive under 20 of em to make it out.

It was just nice to get a wave around here you could actually drop
into and make a solid cranking bottom turn on for a change.

Yeah!!
I'm getting stoked!!
Last sat was the first real surf I've had in weeks and any other day I would have said it was okay!
Kinda weird how the wind swell hit up here and not really anywhere else.
Likewise the Nor cal buoys are lighting up currently so this is real goooood for this week.
Wetsand is predicting some good S swell for the 31st just in time for my family Labor day vacation in O'side!!
Warm water and barrels!! :D :D See you guys @ the Harbor!!
Could the drought of surf be over!! ??
It will hopefully change some of the crazy threads we've seen on here lately - we've had too much down times on our hands!!
Lets finally get barrelled!!
Signed ,
Desperately needing swell, cautiously optimistic, and tired of this weak summer!!

North side HB Pier was small but fun. Any one going to be out there Friday am?

Lowers

Just surfed Lowers. Waist to chest and a little bit soft. Not too crowded. Hopefully this weekend will not disapoint.
If I say its safe to surf this beach Captain, then its safe to surf this beach. I mean I'm not afraid to surf this place, I'll surf this whole f@cking place!

Come on south. It would be nice to get off my longboards and back on my KB. I've body surfed more this summer than board surfed.

I surfed this morning with ScottW and a friend of his at the beaches.
south of town.

Nothing really big, but some fun glassy ones with an occasional
good one coming through. Scott was experimenting - fins, no fins,
different boards and standup. He even caught the wave of the morning
and rode it standup all the way through....(traitor)

Tomorrow morning, up north to meet up with ocean7847 and hopefully
some nice south swell reefs. 8)
