It had to be the biggest day around these parts in months today!!!

Good, solid HH and HH+ sets rolling through. The beaches had
some sweet ones. 8)
If its from the South???
we had some 180ish South HH that wasn't predicted for yesterday(Fri)
that had quite a bit of power to it.

Could be what your receiving today??
The forecast was for 5'-7' NW windswell @ 10 seconds with a 2'-3'
background south @ 14 seconds. Definitely had some south but seemed
like some good sized W - NW groundswell in the mix more than windswell
along with it today.

 Very cool...!Hit the reef about 8.. Lined up reef point to a bit overhead.Great direction, whatever it is.Got to be some west in it to make this spot line up,180's don't work too well here unless they're around 18-20 secs.Handfull of surfers.4hrs this morn.Tide'll switch about four, incoming should be a gas till evening,Hopefully this swell will hang.

cheers

I checked it about 5:00 yesterday and the morning juice was completely
gone. Today it was overcast and smooth conditions with very little swell.

Paddled out a couple of miles south of here for some little 3'-4' high
smooth peelers, just a smidge of south background swell in the water.
I lasted a couple of hours and then got out. It was so smooth and still
it got kind of spooky. I was the only thing moving around in the water
with a few LB'ers a bit to the north of me. Murky red tide, felt like I
was the special on today's lunch menu....

Ran into kenM, said he got some small fun ones.

My nephew ran into a KBer at 4mile several days ago, anyone from this site?no name

This weekend could be good. A little bit of surf heading our way... Saturday and Sunday.
If I say its safe to surf this beach Captain, then its safe to surf this beach. I mean I'm not afraid to surf this place, I'll surf this whole f@cking place!

Fun surf today up and down the HB City and State beaches 4-6' faces with many "pluses". Combo swell; it was better as the tide filled in. Marathon session with minimal crowd 8)
