A bit of morning sickness up here, but nice conditions.

Mid-beach... HH with some pluses. Low AM tide coming up quickly creating Northbound rip. South end was crowded, mid wasn't.

There's some funky sections, sometimes chunky, sometimes hollow, sometimes backing off. Not epic, but some thrills.

Lots of sea life...

SC has been HH yesterday and today, but crowded at the lane. Surprise! Who has orange fins and a blue (Blast?) board? I would be mad at you for dropping in on except I was dropping in on someone else at the time. :D :D :D Neither of us made it out of the soup, I hope you did.

A bit too south for these reefs fun though 2-3 sets, classic smooth conditions.Doc S came down, caught some fun ones.Put in my 2 + hrs and went back to fence repair...
Smoker coming down the coast, about sun/mon,sizeable NW; first of the year.Hopefully the weather will stay nice.A bit of offshore would be a blessing

cheers

Two sea urchins embedded in his feet with about 5 cuts from his feet to his head  He had a great time
Hope Slats & Waka look after him better.

I'll bet the point in newport is picking up this swell pretty good?

Simon, Barry's a big boy and can take care of himself, BUT, please give him the benifit of your local knowledge. We do want him to get as much water time as possible. So........aside from Barry's assorted dings, how were the waves :D Cheers, Wayne

Hey Wayne :)
I'm doing my best to look after him  I've taken him now on 3 surfs at 3 different locations & all the surfs have been just the 2 of us out.
Perfect ocean conditions minus the size. His first surf at my local was the best. Double sucking reef break pounding over very shallow reef. This is where he introduced himself to the local sea urchins etc
2nd surf was a picture perfect isolated beach break to ourselves but again small. Still his smiles said everything
Today 4ft beach break spitting sand out everywhere, again all to ourselves in the back yard of the coach
He is having a great time & I'm now handing over Barry to Waka tomorrow & Steen.
When is it your turn Wayne?

Its a little late but I got Jalama on tuesday afternoon. sweet HH and glassy little beach break peaks with about 10 or so out, just north of T's; stayed out until 5:30 pm or so. Just a gorgeous session. What was remarkable was as I was driving south on Highway I just past the the Jalama turn off I spotted a jet black fed car parked on the side of the road. Peaked my interest as I slowed down to the speed limit I saw a helicopter taking off trailing a sling hanging off its skids. I pulled over at turn out and low and behold across El Haro creek about 100 yards away was a landing pad covered with the biggest pile of green leafy bud I had ever seen. The pile had to be about 30' x 30' and 5 or 6 feet high. Cop cars everywhere. I would assume they had just busted a pretty big farm somewhere nearby. It not a sight you see everyday.

Scottmac - Sheesh, those are some prisitine looking waves. Guess I need to start driving a tad bit further than Jalama eh?

Hopefully some waves swing a bit south this week, hoping for one of these new NW's to push something through the SB area.
