this is greg and randy checking in... we're at the hotel in Padang.

Mike - we'll look into some of those slippers for you... and so far Fred hasn't bought a canoe, but he did put some money down on a scooter. :D :D

Matt - Greg says he can help you out with Vallarta - he's says head north to Punta Mita :x

Headed to the boat this afternoon... we'll get lots of water shots and Barry brought a video camera (with a water housing)

L8s!!

Here's the Surfline general forecast for the Indonesia area for next week: sounds like you guys are gonna score!!
We just had a nice looking storm way out in the SW portion of the South Indian Ocean last week and it has set up a building SW groundswell from 215-220 degrees for Monday with some head high plus surf filling in for Java and then larger waves will settle in for late in the day with some sets in the double overhead range for late Monday/Tuesday, June 2-3rd. We had another strong fetch follow through and this system set up some longer period SW groundswell for Tuesday, June 3rd, and this will mix in to make for some consistent surf with more head high plus to double overhead surf and larger sets getting near the triple overhead make will affect the premier SW facing reefs. Wednesday, June 4th, will bring fading but still solid head high plus surf with sets still running several feet overhead.

Further out, we will have a series of storm systems moving through the South Indian Ocean and we should see some moderate sized SW swell for around Thursday, the 5th, with chest to head high plus surf showing best towards Java and Bali and then larger and overhead SW swell will be on tap for late Friday/Saturday and then more head high to overhead SW swell will be in the works for later in that weekend of June 7-8th.

I can see it now, Fred is going to buy a canoe to store the Bintang on, all he needs is an excuse to get a canoe.

Willy,
d-balls is missing you. He wanted you there in those thailand man panty's so he could spoon with you.
What a trip!!!! Lots of great waves and alot of pics and video. Everyone is fine and the only person who got cut was Randy. The last day he got thrown into the reef and bounced on his back. Its very minor though. we went through 27 cases of beer and a bottle of Jack and a bottle of Rum. Our Captian the cook Randy Fred and myself stayed up all night on the way back to Padang drinking a few  bintangs and pranking each other. All good times. fotos to come.
Greg...
