Just to go to Montauk from PA. $40. gas, $30. tolls.
Montauk cranks though, Ditch Plains is like the HB of Long Island.
Got more waves today. Just found out water temp is 43f.

the water temp mon was probably in F 53-55 degrees according to the national weather service. Definitely 4-3mm water temps.
today surfed county line ..water def in the lower 50's but solid HH with well OH on the outsides...have not seen CL that good in a really long time, one of those everything was working tide push ,slight offshores holding the rights open, bowly lefts from the point northwards pretty sweet overall.
Probabley well hit trestles on fri on the way down to ASR and an early sesh SAT(crowds ) before heading back to SD..with the rains it will be interesting.

It's been a great week at Blacks!
Mon and Tues AM HH to several feet OH, long, groomed, clean walls lining up nicely. Heard that yesterday afternoon was one of the best days yet and there were still waves this morning but with alot less people

tues 38c
wed 41c =105f (?)
thurs 40c
friday 40c

Mike, glad to see you caught some. Didn't think the water was in the 50's up there! Just broke the upper 40's down here.Mike Fernandez wrote:Just to go to Montauk from PA. $40. gas, $30. tolls.

Should be another swell on the way this week. Must be nice to have time on your side for a change.......

Been bunk around here for awhile.Ran to the city this am.Light OS, warm and sunny.Middle of the beach looked fun but the crowd??Looks to be times of small waves will get folks through times of no work.... Opted for a bit north of sloat.better on the lower tide.No great shakes, some decent sets made it more than worthwhile. The little quadfish works well in these kind of conditions.Got my three hrs..... :D
cheers
