old kneeboarder wants info
I am new to this site and happy to see that kneeboarding is alive, well and very popular. I am now 62 and I started kneeboarding in Huntington Beach about 1969 with a custom made board from American surfboard co. At that time it was called an after hours board. You could not have a full size board over 5' in the water after 11:00. The board was 4' 11"long about 22"wide and 3" thick in the tail. Worked great. So getting to the point. I go to Maui every year at Laborday. Ive inquired around The island trying to find a kneeboard to rent or buy. No one seems up on the sport or where to get a KB. So If any one out there knows where I can rent a KB in Maui, and where a good place to use one is please let me know. Also would be willing to purchase a used one from a member if I can get it shipped to North Idaho.
