Reports of sheer panic on O'ahu. Fatal accident on westbound H1, probably a person rushing to get home and prep. Walmart crowded, lines at gas stations, I guess people like to wait for the disaster to happen before they prepare for it. This with most people still sleeping. They are planning to sound the Civil Defense siren at 6 am. Should be the start of an interesting day.

Hey Fooj, they closed North/South road due to a fatality. Makaha to Nanakuli is gridlocked. ( whats new there huh? )
They closed all the beaches on all shores Honolulu is a mess, Ewa Beach is starting to get bad as of 7:52 am.
Jokes aside hope all the islanders stay safe, we gotta remember the smaller places without any alerts.
Aloha from the Kingdom of Atooi
Got this from SF gate, Tsunami advisory in effect: California coast. The National Weather Service has issued a tsunami "advisory" for the California coast from the bay area to San Diego for this afternoon. Included in the advisory are Alameda, San Francisco, Santa Cruz, San Mateo, Marin, Monterey, Contra Costa, Napa, Sonoma, and Santa Clara Counties. An "advisory" is the NWS's lowest level alert, it means there could be waves and strong currents, but that officials don't expect "inundation". Still, the service says we might see "dangerous surges and currents in harbors and bays. And that means stay off beaches and marinas for the afternoon and secure your boats. ( The first waves are expected to hit around 1:20 pm) Tsunami "warnings"(highest alert level) have been issued for Hawaii, South America, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, Phillipines, Russia, and many Pacific Islands.
