New Strapper

Post by poorboy0007 »

After deliberating long and hard over a new board, I finally went down to Strapper and ordered a custom from Michael Di. I forgot that exhilarating feeling of talking designs, fin placement, fins and glass weights and how good a talk with you board designer is!!!

Michael made my early boards during the 80s and he is still ripping it up now! I am not sure why I went for other boards over time but it just felt right to go back and while I have not seen my new ride yet, it already feels like coming home :D

I will post some photos when it in my hands!! :P :P :P

I am looking for that elusive of all creatures....'The All-rounder"!!
I surf so many days where it is crap that I needed a bit more foam but with the ability to take advantage of that lucky great day.

We ultimately went for 6'2 1/2", 24+ & 27/8s. Double flyer flat tail with 'big' glassed in twins (The Strapper Way!!). The fins will be set a little forward as I tend to lean that way into my turns.

I went for all white but have spent every day since drawing and coloring designs until my head hurts (perhaps no choice is still a choice!) LOL
