nz oct-nov

We are off to NZ's nth island in a motor home. For 7 days surfing somtime between early Oct and late Nov this year Does anyone have a suggestion as to which month might be better? And suggestions for locations to visit .

should been here yesterday :D depends nth or sth island its spring equinox onshore the west coast flat on the east coast , for surfing i,d head for gisborne area gisborne its self or maihia and hope for some sth swells cheers hoops ps always room to park the camper up drive if you at the mount

Have to agree with Hooper on that. Sept through to Dec are our worst surfing months. If you do go to Gisborne (which would be a good bet ) we could probably arrange for a few of us to meet up over there. Not sure what happens down Taranaki way at that time of the year but probably mostly onshores.

Mid January through to March/April (cyclone season) can be pretty good if we get the cyclones like we are at present.
