In the movie, when Simon and Gavin are at the restaurant on the surf board 16 years ago(classic footage), I did not think about it when I was there in 1990 but when I saw it in the movie it hit me. In the land of lefts, anyone posing for a picture on that board is going right.

Bob, your right.... 8) no pun intended.... in 1990 I was using Kuta as a base of operations from late Aug. through late Oct.... I was hanging with a kiwi crew and staying at Maha Ba Ratiu ~sp~ on Leagion St. (the main street, I haven't been there since 92 & can't remember the spelling of those places).... :? were did you stay & surf.... :?:

We stayed near there for a week and surfed Bingin, Race Tracks and Outside Corner. Two days with the wife in EBUD(sp) to let the reef cuts heal then a week on a boat off of Timor. I returned home to work and the rest of the crew went on to Grajagan for a week. Grajagan was huge when they were there so they never surfed it. Every day they would surf 20/20's overhead and come back to camp and noone would believe them that they had surfed that day.

How's BillL's barrel that first appears in the intro ...at e-bay, where he lines it up from way behind and then just goes flat out through about three folding sections :?: :!:

For me, that was one of the best waves in the movie.

Thanks again everyone who has supported my film. Its been great hearing back from so many people (PM & here) with their favourite parts of the movie.
Its also been great for me to see so many different favourite sections or shots & not just one section repeated by all.
Hey Bob, that shot of Gav & myself on the wall mounted board at Tubes restaraunt only made it in the movie because of my wife Bec. Its a shocker in my eyes
Tomway, Bill was a highlight on the whole trip. The guy has so much talent its not funny 8) & such a pleasure to surf with.
He just tapped into E-Bays like it was his home break.

Thanks George, got mine in the mail today.

First off, I was memorized with the inside out toob cam. OH MY! TOP NOTCH! Seeing those sections form in full view, then the next section getting ready to throw with the ceiling peeling over in full view, unbelievable. A++++

Loved seeing a quick shot of Padang Airport to bring back memories and the starting hotel, in which I've also had a few cocktail and enjoyed those lovely restrooms.

Great surfing, great video, great shots, but damm to few rights, comes with territory, I guess HT's wasn't on and you hit the north route. Still, you guys killed it, inspirational.

The bonus section is a movie in itself, ULu's was sick. And the "other" island  You guys got to make a whole series on Indo. My life's almost a wrap, lets us live vicariously through you. :D

Got my copy on Monday while at home looking after my girls, I had to explain the axing of Hi5 off of the telly but they loved it as much as I did [well maybe not quite] well done Simon and team a thoroughly enjoyable film to watch. It got me inspired to check the flight costs back to Indo, maybe next year!!

Again well done the best one yet!! Love that red board Simon, Bruce did me one off of the same template, out of interest what fins do you use in it?

Again thanks for a great film well done.

...One Palm in the next one perhaps...
getting there is often as good as getting there
