Owners might just commision a couple shapers to put some new kneeboards on the rack if they are gonna move more soft goods as a result.... that's where the money is.

Well, I will bring in some ancient history and have to add Carl Hayward, and Bronzed Aussies, although PT and Ian didn't have a shop. But for a few magical years back in the late 70's, early 80's all of those guys shared their talent and wisdom with the local crew of kneeboarders in HB.
Now to fast forward to modern times, I have had good experiences with Chauncey's in Ocean City, MD. There are two shops, and Chauncey works at the smaller one, I forget which street it is.
Then there are a few more, one of which just did a crappy repair job on my board, which I had to take back in once to have it fixed again, and should have taken it in a third time. All kinds of resin residue on my tail now. Freakin high school ding repairmen.

Sorry to hear about the lame repair work. That was one of my jobs way back when working at a surf shop. But I was able to offer two different services: repair and restoration. I just charged 3x as much for the resto.

In the Santa Cruz area, my friend Felix owns Sanddollar Surfboard Repair. Can't go wrong with him.

Also Freeline's old glasser Ralph is openingis own ding repair shop on the Westside. He has the magic touch when it comes to working with resins.
