while reading i thought things coulld get very hot here soon :(
glad to see it has not got bitchy yet
good points made on both for and against

living 2hrs from the nearest wave limits my water time
so i find ALL the content in KSUSA interesting and the
(sometimes basic) Q & A's very helpfull and sometimes very fanny
( :?: spelling).
A problem i do have is with navigating the new Album format i always feel
i have missed out on something somewhere

Maybe we should have a kneeboard specific gallery, and another gallery for everything not kneeboarding. Excluding Rick's porn pics, though (sorry dude).

Trouble is, folks already have a hard time as it is using the Boards gallery for boards, and the Miscellaneous gallery for pictures of their cars, skaters, flowers, dogs, birds, etc.

I like to see a nice wave being surfed no matter the vehicle, but Hart is right - there are plenty of other places for those kinds of pictures. Can we accommodate them without being "elitists"? (insofar as the kneeboarding brethren can be considered elite)

It won't..unless someone decides to do it :)

Darcy..I reckon you're on the money

Just a matter of specifics, huh?

8) Cool

On reflection, I was probably way too broad with my topic..

Some of my favorite pictures are of waves with NO ONE on them :!: They allow the viewer, be they stand up, kneelo, or shark biscuit rider, to invision themselves upon said wave :D
None rich, none poor. Everyone happy.

I agree with Hart. I want to see kneelo's here. I don't think it is elitism, it is our home! I have not met many here, but you can count me as a friend because of this great website.
Standups are all over the place with many many magazines devoted to them. Only articles I ever see on kneelo's are the historic Greenough articles. Regular magazines don't get it. If I had a chance to kneeboard like someone else, GG is not even on my top ten list, not to burn GG, I would just like to see the current knee surfing.
On the other hand, on our most viewed photo list, only one pic is of a kneelo.
As for perfect waves, lets admit it, over the years we have all probably seen just about every perfect wave there is. Now, I would like to see a kneelo on it, I don't care what size it is. I can appreciate a kneelo shredding two foot mush, cause I can relate how hard it is.
Personally, anything kneelo related is great. I apologize if my pics of my recent SOCal tour offended anyone. I thought they would add humor, I know I was laughing. The other misc gallery is hard to find for me for some reason.
Also, Hart us westerners don't call it opening "Pandoras Box" as much as we call it "Opening a Can'O'Whoopass!"

i think there has to be a minimum standard of quality in a surf pic to post it here. lots of pics on this site should have been left on the cutting room floor.
the problem with kneelo-only pics is that there are'nt that many of them to begin with. fewer still of magazine quality. while i appreciate how hard it is to ride 2 foot waves and make it look good, pictures of this activity are similar to all the dead-horse posting (good post Scott) that is so prevalent these days. they inspire little or no stoke. which is what this place should be about. i think a lot of guys who travel and score either don't document or don't post because of the tall poppy mentality. to those who have, mahalos.
if everyone got a pic or two from their travels and submitted it, shared a little of their adventure, i think this would be a much more interesting place.
Mike,
at first i was taken aback by all those sublime gay references but it''s all good.
Capt. Buckwheat,
you bloody book-burner! Kneelos....the new master race!

Gay references??? Oh S&*t, my humor is going in the wrong direction
It has nothing to do with gayness, more to do with being young at heart.
Also, I dig chicks :!:

Tend to agree with Bruce, however the setup of the site should cover most concerns if we posters work a bit harder when selecting our categories when submitting an image

What concerns me is the suggestion that some threads should not be revisted. I wouldn't bother checking the site as much if it turns into a gathering roll call or here's a few shots from my Fiji trip etc.
Sure it pays to check past threads but if as suggested by Beeline we have some folk reviewing and removing earlier posts then their value is compromised.

I like hearing people's forthright views on design, flippers, board length etc and if I have heard enough about the merits of UDTs I simply don't click on the thread link.
