Went to Pescadero point on monday morning. Took a bunch of shots from up on the hill. Watched Don Curry, Hunter Eldridge, Eric Landry and an unknown aussie tow into waves that had 40 to 60 foot faces easy. Really scary out there, some waves were feathering 300 yds outside of the skis. If you want to see a sample of some of these waves go to webersphotography.com, click on the waves section, then scroll to page #8 and check out some of the waves around the corner from my house. Kept me up all night. Later, T Hall.

Hey Scott,
Those picks are of pescadero point better known as ghost tree. Yes it is located in the 17 mile drive down at the north end of carmel bay. I work in Pebble Beach and live right around the corner. Carmel point was in the 20 foot plus range that day too.
What impresses me is the fact that it breaks so close to the rocks, if you eat it there, there is no room to get worked, - very scary place.
Check out some of the othor pescadero picks on the same web site from last year. That place is a photographers dream you can get right up close and the action is in your face.
This may be the last year for tow ins at this spot because of some proposed new laws restricting jet skis in the monterey bay marine sanctuary. A hotly debated issue for all of the tow guys on the central coast. Way out of my league though. Later, T Hall.
