living on the gold coast ... at times it can be nice
the eye candy is amazing ... what it aint is paradise
over run with tourists ... at times its a disgrace
loud mouth drunken yobbos ... off their bloody face
in respect to the surfing ... lets strip the facts to bare
the waves are seldom good here ... and there's longboards everywhere
with goatboats and sup's ... all thrown into the mix
to put it in a nutshell ... the place is full of dicks
stay away if you are wise ... please take this kind advice
the locals don't like blow-ins here ... so think about it twice

move on down to kingscliff ... where the old folk go to die
real estate prices are ridiculous ... enough to make you cry
the cafe scene is up there ... with all the usual snobs
talking bucket loads of bullshite ... to prove that they are knobs
surfing down there is passable ... sort of middling to fair
but it doesn't work in a decent swell ... or with a southerly in the air
the northerly isn't kind to it ... or anything from the east
in due respect is fair to say its far from a surfing feast
so if you have a secret spot ... keep it quiet ... if you are wise
the screaming hordes from paradise ... would surely signal its demise.

Fair go brother! Haven't seen a rat for weeks. I think the cockroaches carried them all off.

As John Cooper Clarke would say :

Hot beneath the collar
an inspector calls
Where the perishing stink of squalor
impregnates the walls
the rats have all got rickets
they spit through broken teeth
The name of the game is not cricket
Caught out on Beasley Street

Check out his web site ... he's pretty cool ole JCC

AB ... I'm doing all I can to help you ... but you keep advertising ... get with the program ...

Must say though ... it is hard to get excited about surfing up here ... with half the known universe wanting to share the experience with you ... oh well.

womble, appreciate the effort but with all the stand up kooks on their mobiles every time they see a breaking wave telling all their mates and coastwatch and surfline etc.[casuarina superbank] [[ which btw is no longer ]] my telling you 2 or 3 sparkle dome kb's who could be bothered to read my drivel won't make a difference. I'd welcome the intrusion of a fellow crip or two rather than the arse bandit conformist clone stand up groms, sudo pro's, pro's, lard arse corporate, semi corporate, sup's, suf's, mals, flat plank, retro die hards that dribble down for their weekend escape from the mindless tedium of their 9-5 coked out bullshit lives. That feels so much better needed to get that out of the system :D :D Have i mentioned i don't like the weekend much anymore.

AB, I remember once upon a time when I used to scoff at those conditions. It was deep in the distant past, long before "lawn" was a shade of brown somewhere between "yellow" and "scorched". A time when you could choose to sneak a day off work to go surf a southerly swell at one of several point breaks in the region. These days the heat's been turned up, the economy's turned down and the swell's been turned off.

Bring back 1962, I say!

Old Crazy awoke to the sound of waves ... thought waves ... a torrent of cranial close outs ... washing away at the sands of time ... forming eddies in the stream of his thoughts ... although confused as usual this distraction was welcomed by the mumbling madman ... was this not the first decent swell he had witnessed in weeks ... for an eternity it seemed ... he had been watching the SUP's meandering through the mush ... propelling their murderous craft uncontrollably towards the shoreline ... regardless of the destruction they left in the wake behind ... Old Crazy had for a fleeting moment considered jumping on the band wagon ... but alas he couldn't find the wagon ... let alone a band ... so as fleeting moments go ... it went ... what he need was a distraction ... and to be driven to distraction would require a map ... a vehicle and a key ... whilst rummaging around inside the shopping trolley for inspiration ... not only did Old Crazy find the key ... he also found an answer ... now all that was required was a question ... with the key to his imagination he unlocked a recollection ... a recollection that is of a collection of kindred spirits ... so could the question be loosely related to the once noble quest for total world domination ... Old Crazy wasn't certain ... what he did assume though ... was that it was best to keep those loose relations at arms length ... incestuously insisting sisters stubbornly seducing siblings and all ... and if possible ... it was even better to keep them at someone eases arm length ... so at length Old Crazy adopted the idea of digging up the past ... after filling out the adoption paper and explaining that the past digging was not being performed in a necrophiliac kind of way ... for after all that was dead boring ... and if necrophilia was dead boring ... and incest was relatively boring ... the question then remained not in the boring ... but in the digging ... so digging it would be ... Old Crazy took out a spade in preparation for the task ahead ... but finding it hard to deal with ... he placing it face up and sat on the deck ... this situation would require patience ... and this was something Old Crazy found hard to acquire ... not being a doctor and all ... patients ... that was the answer ... patients ... and so armed with another answer ... but still lacking the original question ... the now totally confused and disorientated one decided to combine his answers and see if they could come up with just one question between them ... so if patience being a dish best left unturned whilst gathering moss on the pot left unrolled ... could the question maybe possibly lie somewhere between the patients and the kindred souls ... whom after all are one and the same ... since they took over the asylum ... and that was the answer ... which unfortunately Old Crazy wasn't looking for ... with three answers and still no question Old Crazy did what he knew best ... nothing ... then he decided to contact the third answer ... the Kneeboard Militia ... a meeting at World Domination Headquarters would be required ... when ... ? ... now that was the question.

atennnnshun ... OK lads ... Old Crazy has spoken ... best not to upset the irrational one ... its been a while ... lets make an effort ... I'm heading west and returning on the 11th of December ... keen to run an eye over AB's new sexy flexy ... and catch up with the rest of the Kneeolithic Kneeanderthals ... maybe even make a day of it ... if your keen.

Old Crazy had finally driven himself to distraction … it wasn't so much of a drive … more of a short putt … distraction was just around the corner from confusion and three suburbs east of total madness … which was incidentally the place Old Crazy had called home for quite a while now … a pleasant leafy tree line boulevard of meandering thoughts sitting behind manicured loons and picketed fence sitters … walking in circles always calmed the agitated nerves of our somewhat distracted and mentally bankrupt friend … but today Old Crazy although being in the middle of distraction and not all that far from total madness … wasn't feeling his usual self … in fact he was feeling his unusual self … now if change is as good as a holiday … what must a hand full of nice crisp hundred dollar bills feel like … thought Old Crazy … as he grabbed another hand full of the unusual … eons ago it now seemed since Old Crazy had sent up a smoke signal from the fire that raged inside his tormented soul … had it vanished in a puff of logic … swept aside by a tide of lethargy … ignored by all and sundry … these answers and more would require investigation … right after the obvious case of procrastination had been cured once and for all … this situation would also require all of Old Crazy's cunning and guile … had the Kneeboard Militia disappeared for good … or evil for that matter … did it matter … in relativity … was imagination really more important than knowledge … Old Crazy knew they were out there … way out there … eventually they would return … he thought … maybe.
