one of my footy buddys thats been surfing blacks said he saw 5 kneelo's out a couple days ago. I told him next time you see them tell em kava says aloha.

PNG surf report
G'day Folks
Just thought I'd drop you a report from PNG!
I took a gamble and managed to get a job on an island in PNG with the hope of some new wave destinations.
What can I say, its great, even though its in between seasons, there are some great set- ups.
Only a handful of surfers there and only one (me) kneelo there, plenty of barrels and plenty of skin off as well.
I will try and get some pics when I get a new camera, but if you look up the June surfers life mag and read the ITAMBU Island artical( DVD as well), thats where I'm at. Itambu means danger in pidgin!
cheers
Timo

Surfed the backside of Catalina. While waves weren't that large or punchy the water temp in the high 70's was a nice change from Santa Cruz County. Was invited on a surf trip to San Clemnete Island on a 70' boat when there was a swell but a swell never turned up.
But had a great time with family and swam 2-3 times daily and dove a bunch. My yearly tune up for the winter season.
