For anyone heading to the islands, here's the latest forecast..........

AREA FORECAST DISCUSSION
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HONOLULU HI
330 PM HST SUN FEB 13 2011

.SYNOPSIS...
LIGHT SOUTH TO SOUTHEAST WINDS ARE EXPECTED FOR THE NEXT FEW DAYS.
HAZY AND VOGGY CONDITIONS WILL BECOME MORE WIDESPREAD AND PERSISTENT
IN THE NEXT FEW DAYS UNDER THE LIGHT SOUTHEASTERLY WINDS. THE SOUTH
TO SOUTHEAST WINDS WILL INCREASE MIDWEEK AS A LOW PRESSURE TROUGH
MOVES TO THE NORTHWEST OF THE STATE. THIS TROUGH WILL STALL AND NOT
REACH THE STATE...BUT WILL BE CLOSE ENOUGH TO DRAG A BAND OF
MOISTURE INTO THE WESTERN PORTION OF THE STATE LATE IN THE WORK WEEK
INTO NEXT WEEKEND.

.MARINE...
NORTH NORTHEAST SWELL CONTINUES NEAR THE 10 FOOT LEVEL...WITH
OBSERVATIONS OF LOW END HIGH SURF ADVISORY SURF HEIGHTS ON NORTH AND
EAST FACING SHORES. THIS SWELL WILL SLOWLY SUBSIDE TONIGHT...BUT
HAVE EXTENDED THE HIGH SURF ADVISORIES FOR NORTH AND EAST FACING
SHORES AND THE SMALL CRAFT ADVISORIES THROUGH TONIGHT UNTIL 6 AM
HST MONDAY...AS THE EXPECTED DECLINE IN SWELL IS TAKING A BIT
LONGER THAN EXPECTED.

its all relative mate 8) i remember those pics of you trudging through the snow to surf 2' waves  Huntington must rock in comparison.
those bastards on the South Coast get nice uncrowded surf year round....we score in the winter almost exclusively.
Big Island is so hit and miss. plan a trip and it will probably suck wave-wise.....live here and every so often heaven opens up its doors.
its pretty heavenly right now.
dont mean to gloat

SE winds prevail.

NE swell dropped off.
2-4' at Back Yards.
Fun loooooooooong fast rights through to Sunset Pt. 8)

Spots that focus the NE swell a bit bigger and looking good.
[albumimg]27182[/albumimg]
Great sand bar set ups from Log Cabins to Rocky Pt.

Kammie Land is 3-4' excellent both directions, Laniakea super fun and long.

How does "barely anyone out" happen on Da Islands brah? Shocked
Easy!

It's been pumping since mid December over here.
Actually before that, but the heavy rains late November through mid December made the water foul and muddy for that time.

We get so much swell nobody can can handle it when it's perfect everyday for weeks on end.
Plenty of days it defies all the forecasts and there's fun waves when they predicted it'd be flat.
At the moment there are at least 30 ++ fun spots to surf between the tip of Kaena Pt and Turtle Bay Resort. 8) :D

Try it Mikey....You'll like it.

And Smoking Rock.....Please put a plug on your volcano.....the vog is getting pretty thick up here.
