Hey Bob,

Yup. The car was still there, and it was today apres-surf too!

I met Don for the Dawn Patrol. It was glassy, but kinda suffered from the same crossed-up, sometimes-OK, sometimes-not that we surfed yesterday.

Another really nice day to be trying!

If OBSF is this small, I can only imagine how flat it is elsewhere...

Oh, and the Sharks got nipped in OT... FWIW.

Well today the weather was perfect, the conditions perfect (offshore and zippy) only problem was it was 1-2' - mostly 1'.
So I went out on my bodyboard and I swear I had the greatest time out there!!
Even the longboarders were losers -too zippy -they mostly crashed and burned!
Without a doubt I was having the most fun of anyone out there today Most of the people lasted 20 to 45 minutes max out there out of frustration.
I forgot that on a sponge you can even get barrelled on a 1 footer!!When Tom Morey invented the Boogie I remember the ads in the surf mags were touting that they were created for days like today(this of course was before the longboard renaissance a long, long time ago)
Moral of the story: all about fun. . .Right equipment for right conditions.
Go get wet!!

Hit Scripps this afternoon - glassy, waist high burgers, perfect for my 9'6" soft top!

Like Fredo said, I had a great time. 8) 8)

The best part was the 63 degree water - was comfortable in my 2/2 short sleeve

Well the Cali-Florida kneelos have invaded Nica. Surfed HH Colorados yesterday with stiff offshores and some real fun waves. Went to Veracruz today and got some smoking 100 yard HH lefts. Pics of the Colorado session to come at some point. We are having a blast. Sorry it is flat for our bros at home.....

Pretty awesome Jimbo, glad your getting it!
I had some good ones also in OC,MD. Head high, and heavy enough to pay a penalty, and keep it interesting. The Drift is working good.
Met another kneeboarder in OC. I thought I was the only one. His name is Rodney, hope he joins us. Should make for some good photo's.
Someone tell Ler his Hurley 3/2mm Freedom suit works really good. Surfed 5 hours in 53f water, air 60, offshore winds 20knots. Slowly but surely it's warming up over here.

Been breaking here on the west side since my arrival.[apr-21]Caught the last three days of that first south.Small-med 3-6 mostly with sets a bit bigger.Went down a bit, came back up wed with a vengence,TO DOH+and the 20 min sets were smokers.... More board would have been good,Insane crowd...controlled mayhem... Got my share.
Glasses late afternoon, evening crowds are nil.Surfed three evenings with just a few folks, one evening till almost dark with just two.Goes HH and under and the place goes empty..A fun left or sure.Seems I'm the resident KBer.Folks remember me from the last few yrs.Nice when a few locals give the nod.Another swell this Weekend[NW]That will spread the crowd around the island.Nine straight days...4 double sessions.Short session this morn.Need a break!!!

cheers

River Jetty's Thursday am

4 ft faces, super low tide this am. I was standing on dry sand where it usually breaks. No wind, 2 guys out. Classic RJ's Draino's. Very shallow- no lip launches or else. All rights today with the home guard dolphins.

I think we're going to have some real waves on the Right Coast this week, if/when the wind dies.... :D
