Most spots were walled up here also, and a short period didn't help.We got a reef point takes these swells a bit better.2-4 and the odds ones breaking out in the kelp  .. :lol:A few serious face plants ALWAYS have the rubber hat for protection.
Glassy, warm all day.Left about 3,just about the bottom, and it was getting a push with the incoming and looking to get better.Bit of red tide, had to quit.... Trying to surf when running around 80%don't cut it.5+hrs is plenty anyways.Crowd numbers were low.as always... :D

Add to the walled up junk at the beaches all the 'Saturday longboard heros' being tossed this way and that.

Smaller today, headhigh on the sets.Surfed half the morning alone... :D Classic late fall weather.
A bit spooky, the landlord was spotted eating a seal other side of the kelp Last night just before dark.
Last 3 hrs of the ebb was good.Crowd got up to 5 on 1/2mile of reef.Inconsistent'but when it's that uncrowded,it don't matter, get to pick what you want.Went downtown to ''the wall'local 'meeting spot for a cold one and a chat.Appears that the south jumped a bit, channel left was chest high....20+on the only peak....
OB??Heard rumors,any cofirmations.?
Looks like tuesday on for another nice south...

cheers

Swell was smaller and peakier down here today. I got the jump on the
daylight savings adjustees and surfed close to a couple of hours alone
myself. Max crowd for the morning was three of us sharing a nice left.

Sunny and nice all morning. I got out around 11:30 and within a half
hour the fog sucked in so thick you couldn't see the waves if you were
standing in the shorebreak.

The new board is working great!!! 8)

K,

OB has been 'worth it.'

DP this AM was fun at mid-beach. I'm sure it was only better later on.

So... yes!

OB has been very good. Just got better from friday to today. Sat was solid 8 foot faces easy, bars were the best with about 3 feet of incoming on them. Got it this morning until lunch. Wish I could have stayed it was getting better as the tide bottomed out. Hordes were on it, but a sunday warm day, head high, offshore a frames will do that. can't wait for the week, crowd always thins.

yes, OB was good Fri-Sun! Friday am was good met Stemple in the water, then the wind shifted and within 15 minutes it was blown out. Sat was fun but the crowd at VFW was insane...I think I got dropped in on every other wave. Sunday at Sloat was the best, small crowd, solid waves and great weather. Got over 20 waves for the session...

SF,

You may have been caught in the act: Check out Bruce's photos from 11/4 at http://www.spitfirephoto.com/surfhumor/

If that link didn't work, go to www.surfhumor.com

If I remember right, there's a few in the middle, but most toward the end.

It's still fun, but a little funk fog texture on the faces. Winds the PM could be dicey...

Noel delivered on the Banks. Where I was in Southern NC, it only got up around chest to head (and faded fast), but Hatteras and North got a solid swell with offshore all day Sat. I'll post some pics when I get home, meanwhile some standup pics at the Kill Devil Hills site:
