I believe it would be safe to say that anything issued by John L. Casey is without any merit given his past history and lack of scientific credentials.

but why do you think its a scam

if i missed your reasons earlier sorry, please direct me to them.
a favourite radio programme of mine is Counter Point. dont always agree with the counter point but worth hearing/reading/listening to/about.

Hi JDC, almost forgot about this thread.
What I know is that nobody is really sure what is causing global warming, or if it is really happening. What I do know is that we are in a solar flare cycle which is blasting Earth with huge dosages of solar heat/particles.
It is fact there are a group of scientists, and an organization that report these flarings for government info.
We are suppose to have a large volume of cellular service, and satellite service interupted for another 8 years I believe. The space shuttle and spacesuits have been beefed up for this particular reason.
This combined with volcanic activity could be a huge source for the warming if it is happening.
I can't help thinking the little guy is going to get screwed because of something we don't control.
Kinda like how the average Joe is being preached to about Chesapeake Bay pollution, even though 60% of the polution is caused by farm runoff.
Now, aside from flushing out toilets only after you urinate five times, instead of everytime, there isn't much the average Joe can do anymore.
About the scam part, we are preached to about global warming by people like Al Gore, and John Travolta, people who dirty the air, and use massive amounts of power for their houses, and think that by devising a scam like carbon credits, they can buy their way out of polluting. But they are not cutting down on pollution, just buying the ability to do more of it. It's us little poor folk who will be hurt by the carbon credit taxes/fees.
There is a global map showing the most polluting nations, North America isn't even on it. Most is from China, Russia, and India.
It just pisses me off that Americans are devising ways to screw Americans. It always happens. I believe America is the only country that charges for incoming cell phone calls. They don't do that in Europe last time I looked.
To make matters worse, a lot of Americans still think we are lucky not to have gas as expensive as European gas, not knowing that the Europeans get a lot more for the $5-6. per gallon of fuel like health care and other things. All we get is gas, and some roads, and we still pay tolls for some roads.
So, I see a scam coming along. I may be wrong, but that's how I see it.

and since the UN is knee deep in this scam (and plenty others) i believe they are a organization we'd all be better off without.
could the author of this thread please fix the spelling error in convenent drives me nuts
