Duke-
One of the reasons it would be nice to have an International site is to be able to afford translation software. Imagine being able to see and respond to this site in several different languages....
If we want this sport to grow, we need to think of all the kneeboarders for whom English is a second language: The Puerto Ricans, the French, the Brazilians, The Italians, and The Australians.

I agree with Scoop..... this is the KSUSA site.....

The nature of the Internet make it international, not the name.

Plus, it doesn't represent the international body, only KSUSA...

Let's not confuse things too much... 8)

I have to agree with splashy, scoop, and Mr. Mike G.
I am PROUD that we have a US kneeboard sight!!!!
Just as the boys from down under are proud there's
and the New Zealand boys, and the UK gents,
and lets not forget our friends in PR.
They all have there own web sights, and I visit them
all the time. Don is a good man, and has made a GREAT
web sight. lets not F it up.

I think this site is absolutely awesome! It does the most for kneeboarding everywhere. I wouldn't be so stoked about kneeboarding if it wasn't for this site. When I posted this topic, I wasn't thinking of an overhaul of the site or anything, just the name on the front page. As somebody already said I'd visit this site no matter the name. But if this site was to be and international thing, the translation software idea that popped up sounds awesome, especially one for the Aussies!
I'm guessing this site started out with smaller ambitions, like pulling the US community of Kneeboarders together, and probably never thought it would become so internationally respected, but now that it is, perhaps a name change might help push kneeboarding further and bring a lot more fresh talent to it's ranks?

I WISH I HAD THREE HANDS

on the one hand, in this day and age, id be suprised to see a nation let go of its identity to globalism - but then the europeans did go the euro and the eec so perhaps i would not be that surprised

on the other hand this site is, in my humble experience, the best thing to come out of america since this black comedian i saw wearing a band aid on his forehead on television - another comedian asked "why are you wearing the band aide on your head" - to which the black comedian replied - "what! you can see it?...it said on the box they were SKIN coloured" (the band aid was pinkish in colour)......

....so i get a more balanced sense of the OL US of A from this site as an american site

on the third hand - just to broach the idea is a tasty can of worms and we could expect no less from a New Zealander in Japan (probably the lack of sheep got him thinking   )

good work strudel - brave question

Much of what I know about the Aussies I've learned through the Wiggles!
In 'It's a Wiggly Wiggly World,' Rolf Harris does that song on his wobble board. I wish I remember some of the other ones... good stuff! Slim Dusty? Kalal (spelling?)

News is they're now the top earning entertainers Down Under.

I'm with the camp of leaving it as is. A rose by any other name... and all that stuff. Through status quo, we shall grow!

Too funny, EQ! It would be good to have transilation software to understand what Hart and his coharts in crime are talking about. And I thought it was just one too many hits to the head during 'football' or rubgy or whatever they call it. lol

 Translation sofware?I don't think it would help.....They don't have a clue as to what the're saying, they'd like you to believe that, but they just make that stuff up as they go along.
They're good at it
