This post is somewhat related to KBing......My band, Vesper, will be doing an acoustic showcase for the Orange County Music Awards tomorrow night, Tues. 1/24/06 at 7:00pm at The Gypsy Den in Santa Ana.

We will be performing some of the tunes we'll be submitting for Sparrow's next film..... 8)

The venue has good grub and grog and there's no cover. Come check it out and hopefully we'll hear some of these tracks on the next KB film...

Contiki.......different band, same name it seems....they're from NY

Our website is being updated at the moment but should be back in operation in a week or two......had to add the new lead guitar player!

Contiki.......thanks for your interest......We go on at 7:30 sharp......It will be a short 30 minute set ......the Gypsy Den has good food and no cover and there will be other acts following us for the Orange County Music Awards.......the place is on Broadway and 1st. St in Santa Ana in the "Artists' Village" area of SA......We were nominated for Best Indie Rock Band and Best Live Acoustic Band for last year's awards......

We're also recording now and will be submitting a number of tunes for Sparrow's next film (Thanks for the good wishes Simon :D )

I'm playing in a 2nd. band that is also recording tunes for the film so hopefully Simon will like both genre's......upbeat rock tunes and groove-inflected Indie rock......It's been a blast putting on "The Sparrow has Landed" as background inspiration during the writing/recording process.
I get to marry my 2 passions.....surfing and music.....Life is GOOD 8)
I'm extra thankful my wife supports both whole-heartedly and I've got her sponging now ....moving to kneeboard this summer.....Oh yeah!
