ding repair

Post by K-man »

Found this product several months ago.''Inter tape''Aluminum tape with stickum back.
Put a piece on the tail of my board last month, just peeled it off,and the area is dry.Good stuff.Only thing I've found that actually works as a temporary fix.Structually, it's very strong.

cheers

I'm very familiar with this type of tape. It's a common item used to protect the outer jacket of a telephone cable when covering a splice with a heat shrink closure.

Never knew it'd work as a temporary ding repair. How large is the roll that you have? I manufacture rolls in two lengths. 3"x 30" and 4"x48"

Thanks for the info.

this roll is 2''wide,maybe 20 ft long?[4$]I like the idea of wider widths.
You manufacture this stuff?....And why in lenghts of 30,and 48''?Any ways it works...Could be a small business venture. There are approx 10-15 million surfers worldwide, and thats a lot of dings

cheers

WillP,
Ever talk to JAdams3 about adhesives? He's been at Adhesive Brokers for many moons... if you're manufacturing, he may be able to help...

My company manufactures outside plant hardware for the telecommunications industry. We make all of the hardware that is used between the central office and the end user. Take a look at my website and you'll get a better idea. http://www.wptele.com

Anyway, aluminum tape is just a small accessory that we provide with some of our closures. Kinda stoked I have a warehouse full of rolls of quick fix tape.
