was checking the dean cleary website regarding that - says he's using new materials. i am thinking of getting a quad fish - anyone have a cleary quad fish they could comment on? i'm tired of sliding around in the waves on my blast aussie tri fin, i want to slice and cut through the wave more - thinking quad is the way to go given my great experience riding Fincut's. i'll always enjoy this board when its smaller but when its got some punch i want to cut into the wave more - this board can't handle a hard hard turn in juice without sliding out and skimming.

does that eric shooffelkopfh guy (spelling should be sufficiently offensive) in n. county SD have anything going right now? i could contact him as well..

I have a PuPe Dean Cleary fish. It's around 5'6 x 22", I'm 5'4"/145lbs. It runs accross walls like spiderman. Feels very confident when dropping in late. Definitely a good beach break board. I bet an epoxy would be more fun, lighter. Once I outrun the section, though, I find it harder to turn than my Flashpoints. I grab the fish when it's steep and fast and I'm looking for traction more than turning.

Both Eric Schoelkoph and Shawn Ambrose have EPS blanks. Shawn is also gluing up EPS blanks with parabolic stringers.
I have one on order at this momment.
Eric's turn around time is probably much quicker than Shawn's as Shawn does more volume.

Try the new Palm hardwood. Lighter than foam, but stronger than the epoxy. If you get stranded on an Island, you can plant it....
