Posted - Mar 12 2007 : 23:08:16 Good waves this evening with the sun going down. Nice overhead sets coming through at Ponto with some hard driving lefts. Locked into a barrel at sunset. It was beautiful. Celebrating tonight with a mix at the CBKC. Ponto es muy bueno.
That was yesterday

It was summer time this weekend up here -- warm, patchy fog, mostly naked young people on the beach, and happy NW wind swell. Probably the best surf we've had in two months. 2-4', glassy, breaking clean, perfect tide. Lots of fun.

Sure beats the blown out choppy walls we had all February.

the crowd was nuts, and it didn't get better after you left.

i got plenty of fun waves, but that crowd, uggggggggggh

Yea, yea,...
Randiego and I surfed Ponto today :) It was around 8' faces and looked just like the pic Kava posted. The only difference was that it was cloudy

Today was pretty darn good. Weather and swell cooperated.
Isn't it great when surfline tells the masses "new dateline swell by tonight"
and it shows up twelve hours early, especially since I have to work all weekend.

Smells like summer . . .

Post by alfredo zavala »

Wow It's like daylight savings time arrived and that I'm starting to get that summer feeling on the central coast . . .
Small waves, cold water, and the blasted fog!
Yup if you want sunny warm days, the winter is the time up here! Except for the early morning offshores!
Like Mark Twain said, "The coldest winter he had was a summer in San Francisco" Well, that suits up here as well!
Man you gotta love the winter!!! One just takes it for granted that when you want to go surf thare will always be swell. How soon I forget. . .
I do know that the great northwests are not completely over yet, but its in transition.
Soon the time begins when I look on surfline and see the waves are bigger down south and I'm jealous of the 70 degree water - but I don't miss the masses or the polluted water.
Be thankful for every day you get to surf!
If I'm not getting any it's nice to read this and see that many of you are!
Aloha

Very early south.... 8) smaller here though.Last few days have been fun.
Tide filled in last night, gave the swell a little push. The crowd left early.S.east winds, bumpy.By five it went super foggy, glassy with a slight OS.Shoulder and a bit.

cheers
