Thanks for the heads up Mr. K! The conditions have been changing by
the hour down this way with these storms passing through - plus
lot's of wind for this early in the season. Word is we're supposed to be
in for a very wet March this year....

Thanks K-man. I was trying to get out of work tomorrow to head up your direction but I couldn't break free. Now I know I'm not missing much so work doesn't sting quite as bad.

It's about 2-3ft. in San Diego, but 3-4ft. at Blacks. We have offshore flow for all of today, but an extremely high tide. Blacks is better on a low.

up here in Humboldt it is 4 to 6 feet with winds out of the south west
that means the North Jetty is good :
and it is not raining or snowing today
peace and good waves for all

Hi K!
Back is still screwed. I'm in physical therapy, with no return date set. I'm getting stronger, but I think the season's over
However, I did get my wife a nice camera setup with up to 300mm lens... on offer, one jonesing kneelo who is easily bribed to live vicariously through others!
I've been off the day-to-day so I don't drive myself bonkers... but wind sure felt offshore, and the swell looks 5' at 10 for some fun stuff.
I looked a little junky yesterday...
Wait, I'm not supposed to be looking! I AM bonkers!!
Don's been pretty lo-pro lately. His neck got tweaked in that car accident, but I think he's more water-ready. I'll give him a shout and see if there's a photog opportunity + family gathering North of the Bridge or the City...
Cheers!

I scouted around late yesterday and found a promising sandbar right
over the ridge behind my house. Cracked it early this morning, small
offshore A frame wedges breaking in shallow water. Left or right,
just pick which way you want to go.
Got in around three hours solo before the weekend crowds found me
then four guys paddled out at once!
It's supposed to be a bit bigger tomorrow, I'm going to bring along a few
of the old grumpys with me for some deterrant!

Scored 2 killer sessions at one of the localized reefs at sunset cliffs, 4-6' and the past 2 days the jetty has been on fire,3-5' thick barrels and freight train walls.....but today, pretty flat....bummer!!!

Just got home and rinsed off the gear after a three hour sesh at that
same sandbar as yesterday. Cracked it at first light and watched the
sun come up over the top of the cliffs.
Nobody around except one seal. Caught close to 30 waves in three hours,
small but fun! My old pals never showed, looks like they are all operating
on bankers hours today!
