Swellmagnet.com on the Surf Forecast page (annual dues and password needed) has a series of pics today of a kneelo getting totally shacked at Zuma on 3/24/06.
Green board, churchills. Great sequence of 4-5 shots from the drop, completely covered up, and 'claiming it' on exit.

Who da guy?

Hi matinmurph, I have rememberances of Zuma in the late 60's. Back then they didn't even black ball the beach, (unless it was the weekend), I was a stand-up, but I do remember the fast, zippy waves. Alot of them were close-outs. You would just get totally shacked before the door shuts on you.____________Mark R.

Brad Stanley.

From the info about the green kneeboard and churchills, it does sound like it would be Brad Stanley. I've seen some pics of him from Indo, with that green board.

Mike, that's a nice shot of that KBer at Zuma. Boy, it really brings back memories. I'm glad that kneeboarding is not gone from there. I used to kneeboard Zuma from about '67-'72. :)
