That last swell was pretty big. Is it going to happen more because of global warming? Storms bigger and stronger?

I surfed some great waves here on the east side today. Of course the Nor'easter was way over rated although I did drive through some snow to get to the beach. Wind was 40 mph offshore, faces were 6ft and hollow, water temp 41, air 45. Surfed 5 hours.

8) mike so you scored some surf on the otherside! I was watching some of the cams on surfline of the east coast today in hopes of seeing you out at rockaway or longisland somewhere
I was out in HB this morning and met a guy out in the lineup from cape cod, he flew out before the recent noreaster, he said he was glad to be surfing the warm waters of california

Hi Randiego, I am wearing a 6/4mm Oneill Psycho II. Water is warm enough for 3mm gloves and booties, last month I had 5mm gloves and booties. I might wear a 4/3mm next time with a hoodie. I was very comfortable today, only got out because the swell shutdown. I left the water with the sets at 2ft. face

Tom, I could be on a cam at 90th in Rockaway  but the Ocean City MD cam is not at 48th street. I always go there, it the biggest, knarliest place in OC when there are waves. It was freakin packed today for about an hour with five people  then one sponger for a while, then I had it for two hours to myself. :D

Sydney and southern NSW late last week and on the weekend was a 2mm springsuit in the AM and a Thermal long sleeve and boardies by mid morning.

Indo on Friday, will be boardies and lots of sunscreen.

Am I soft or what!

Total respect to the guys that surf in extreme cold.

Catcha in da room. :D

BRRRRRR...Mike, a coffee wetsuit warmup is a must. :? Five hours is a long session anywhere. 8) If the swells keep getting bigger with global warming the next couple generations will think 30 foot is average.

But space suits a must for the bad air and sun.

BOY O BOY

I thought I was easily distracted. GLOBAL WARMING = PANCAKES.

You people have held me back for long enough. I going skateboarding with Barry for his 38th birthday at Lake Forest (Etnies Park) tonight. Later.
