Hey all, just wanted to say that this site is great. Pretty surprised by all the KB'rs that are still ripping and the great info on this site.

Im 22 born and raised bodysurfing/kb'ing HB and newport beach and now currently enrolled at UCSB, hopefully going to find some waves up here also, this summer it's been an absolute lake up here. Praying the winter swells wont disappoint.

Ive been kneeboarding for about 5 yrs now, first rode a 5'6" romo fish and now on a 5'7" romo custom. (both quad fins)

Would love to meet up with some fellow KB'rs sometime!

P.S- Where the hell can i find some good ole thick and fast shorebreak around here?? I miss newport

Hi Masons,
You'll have to head south to Oxnard Shores/Silverstrand or north to Jalama for the heavy beach break. You're in the land of right point breaks. :)
Keep your eyes open for W and NW swells, and you'll be able to get great surf from Campus Point to Sands, all within biking distance.

Mason - Labor Day weekend the backside of Rincon was throwing up some insane lefts!!! Be patient - your rewards will come this winter.

wait for the swell. I was in SB for 4-5 days this January and it was magic. Sandspit at the end of State Steet will go insane...check it.
