Knee Grom Grows Up & Goes to College

Post by joe »

Knee Grom SamC was dropped off in San Luis Obispo last weekend to start his college career at Cal Poly. We're very proud parents.

Today is Sam's 18th birthday. Is he still a grom? I guess when you're 30 years younger than the average kneelo, you'll always be a grom.

Happy Birthday Sam

Any kneelos in the SLO area that need a surf buddy? PM SamC.

Congratulations to Grom and Pop!

Or, maybe Grom becomes a... err... it's that phase where a frog has legs and a tail... tadpole? polywog?

Congratulations Joe and Sam. Do colleges still have surf teams these days? :D

I live in North County.
If he ever needs anyone close by for any reason I am there .
He can PM me with any surf related questions.
There is a great kneelo named Mike who surfs the aforementined canyon on a local basis. Surfs a Romo.
Really cool bro.
I hope to see Sam sometime this winter!!

Post by Markem »

Albert I don't want to alarm you but I doubt you'll grow any taller. LOL

As far as growing up goes you are plenty big in the surf. I did about 8 years of college but can't match your credentials nor your water time.

Be well,

Congratulations Sam! College is hugely different from HS. There will be some adjusting to do, but you're going to a great school with a diverse curricula ... take advantage of all it has to offer! You may even get to like farming, once you get used to the smell. At least it will be different from city life! :P

Sam, you will do well in SLO as the waves have a bit of juice. Just remember to hit the library after the surf and before the pub.

Albert, what are you going to do with all of theat education now that you are too old for any company to hire? Remember, chicks only dig nerds with jobs

Congrats!
Enjoy the barbecued tri-tip, be careful not to get too hammered at a party and drink a sh*tkickers cup full of Skoal drool, and be really, really cautious of any mushrooms you might find growing on the hillside after a rain.
