I would agree with Scotty Mac.

I don't know if it was purposeful but the standups looked like they were mostly eating it!!

I will have to say that that one spongers el rollo was pretty amazing!

Its not intended to show stand ups looking any worse than anyone else, this is part of a movie I call Wrecky Dogs, it was intended for a big screen public showing and features 7 sequences of local surfers at Aussie Pipe.

The screening is on hold at the present time, but I thought Id upload for everyone else to have a look....the stand ups rip out there and especially Jordo, one of the best barrel riders out there...the Lid riders rip as well, and pull amazing moves, so theres no pro's in it just locals and a few unknown fly - by's .

I just uploaded another sequence which can be assessed from the KSA site as well.

some of the footage I've used before in other short clips on youtube, but there is some different stuff here and there.

hope you get a little bit of the stoke of surfing, and the feeling of being at Aussie Pipe.

Ill be uploading another couple of sequences soon.

Really great vids, Slats. Lots of action, just the great shots, not letting us watch mediocre waves. The lids were just killin' it, and that added a lot to the great kneeboarding, too. Loved the use of the sunglasses to "reflect" some of the surfing--nice trick. As was the filming while the boat moved with the wave.

Thanks for all the time you put into those. Helps to have a hot local crew and such tubey waves!

Thanks Scott,

all good fun...getting the boat thing happening was a bit difficult...I did a couple myself with reasonable results,,,driving and filming, but it was a bit dodgy, watching out for the surfers paddling back out....then I had this young bloke jump in and i gave him some instructions, one was not to zoom in and out...so what does he do,,,anyway...ill get it right one day..hopefully when there's a kneelo on the wave...and a few less people in the water.

I only have a couple more to go so I may as well load them as well.

Rob, I suggest getting Mark, Waka, or Freddie to drive the tinny freeing you up to do what you do best.

There is another good movie, "It's starts with a rumble." 8)

Thanks Mike 4 the suggestions.
Mark would be ok Id trust him, if he would stay in the boat.
Waka,,,blind as a bat and would run over someone for sure
Fred...he's be trying to troll for Salmon of something similar and we'd end up on the reef.

I suppose you might be right, he'd be laughing as bits of leg and bone came shooting out the back.
