The Bass needs a board!

Intrepid kneelo grom, Phillip Island vet and BBK kingpin, Sea Bass Perez is in desparate need of a board. His small stature makes this request a little difficult to fill. Sea Bass is 5'2" and 100 lbs. He 16 years old and while I'm sure he will grow I don't think he will ever be a giant (except when it comes to riding waves).

Does any one have a board that they might want to sell to Sea Bass that will fit his small size? A board in the 5"4" range would be good. The Bass rips but he has outgrown the trusty FreeLine fish he rode previously.

Hey Tom,

If you know anyone on their way down here, or back for that matter, and have means to get the board to the states I can hook you up.

I know its a long shot but I figure its worth a try.

maybe??

I seem to recall a distant contributor to these forums, Dr. Strange. Before he faded out he was offering up a custom Mandela quad. It was small compared to most of the stats thrown around here. Maybe K-man or Ken know a phone contact in Nor-Cal? Dr. S might still have it. Longshot, but that would be a sweet one.

I might have something Tom. It's a Blast 5'7" 2w swallow 4 fin that was too small and narrow in the tail for me. I'm currently putting another box where a third fin would go. The board is remarkably similiar to Southpeak Brad's Flashpoint thruster so I thought I'd convert it and see how it goes. If anyone's interested, PM me.

I suppose another valuable bit of information would be how much is Seabass expected to grow in the next year or so.. Getting him something that works for him now will probably not work for him in 6 months time..

Frank, man, your memory is good but I'm pretty sure that Doc S sold the Mandala through the Freeline shop.

I've got an older Blast Quad that's around that size or maybe shorter.

I'll check the dims tonight and re-post tomorrow on it.

The board was buckled and repaired, so it's hardly in pristine shape, and has a few light ding repairs that need some touching up, and I'm in Atlanta so we'd have to ship it.

Let me look and get back to you.

What about a sponsorship?
A collaboration of shaper and donators combining to support selected KSUSA groms. These boards can be finished with an approved KSUSA artwork; color; and builders logos. If the boards survive they can be passed down to the next generation.

Blast Quad

Hey Tom,

The measurements on this Blast Quad are:

5'4"
22 1/4" wide

It's a double-bump squash with the squash-tail at 13 3/4"wide

The fins (measured from the front base of the fin to the tail) are at 15 3/4" and 8 5/8"

Looking it over again tonight, the buckle is repaired, but not particularly well. The end inch of the nose has been rebuilt, there are several larger repaired dings on the bottom and rails, and one fin has been re-glassed.

Having said that, I paid $50 for it (as a throw-in with my Blast quad fish) so I'll give it away if you want to pay shipping.

It's got what I imagine is the original deck pad on it as well.

I'll take some pics if you're interested.

Holler back....Tim

Thanks everyone. Between Kel, Albert and Bill we should get this covered.
