Aloha!
Hey guys! I'm new to the site and I was surprise to find an online kneeboarding site with such a large constituency. I am 23 and sort of just started kneeboarding. I say sort of started because the first time i got on a board, i was 12. Since my father passed away a few years ago and left me his board, i have been getting more into kneeboarding. I have done some longboarding in the past but i find it hard to get my kneeboard up to a fast enough speed to catch a wave. lol i guess i need help. better yet, if any of you seasoned vets from oahu wanna show me the ropes that would be awesome!

seriousy japaneezy welcome to the asylum. we're more of a self help group here ala AA. stand up, say "hi...i'm japaneezy...and i'm a kneeboarder"

admitting you have a problem is the first step toward recovery

Looks like jap took my advice.
But in case he didn't and signs up for this kneeboarding gig it is always best to make sure someone really wants to do this silly sport. It fills your life with so much heartache and pain. Makes you feel inadequate and results in countless stares from the indifferent masses.
Of course, one heaving barrel can fix all that.
Yeah, I'm on O'ahu, jap. Not so sure I'm a seasoned vet but what do you want to know? Speed for catching waves: paddle hard, wear fins.
