Need a Good Board Repair Shop or Person in So.Ca.

Post by frog »

Can anyone suggest a "Good" board repair shop or person? Am willing to go from Ventura to San Diego. Any suggestion :?:

My Blast board I won at Santa Cruz Contest Raffle  My fins and my hand got reminded why they call it Boneyard  at County Line (Kneelo Point). I need someone good to repair my baby!! While the cuts in my hand heal from a 6' over the falls backward into the rocks Och!!! That left a mark!!!. Me and the board!! :?

I surf Boneyard when I'm in SoCal. Probably will be there this Friday AM.

Great

See you there if the waves are up! I suggest a good site for you to check out the local surf report. surfkast.com. From Ventura to Malibu.

Thanx for the info.

My son-in-law surfs everyday so is on the forecasts. And my surf buddy just about only surfs Boneyards so he knows the 411.

Yo Frog,

Yep that boneyard sure likes to have fun with fins and boards. When I went tumbling through the boneyard and got my fin plug pulled out I took my board to Revolution Surf Co. in Newbury Park, just off the 101 fwy. John the owner did a great job on all my boards since I seem to have a problem with my fins and plugs, and not too pricey either.

Also dawn patrol at the County Line hasn't been that good with the low tide in the early morning. Check out Zero's, I hit it Sarurday morning @ 5:30am and was going off, with 2 guys out. Won't be getting wet until Saturday, but planning on going to zero's nice an early say 5:30. Hope to see ya there. Anthony

Frog, I would suggest Joe at Hendig board repair in Oceanside. Repairs anything. Firewire-Epoxy-regular foam. An artist. U.S. Military trained in composites. Super nice guy. 760-967-4140.
Regards, Chris.

Hendig is no longer

Talked with Joe yesterday, he is packing it up. Anyone know of another Ding repair specialist in the North San Diego county area. Thanks.

Hendig ?

Post by mmanners »

Are you saying Hendig is closing, or that Joe will not be thee anymore. There was also a girl who worked there that was prety good, but I can't rememeber her name.

Coconut Peets in OB/Pt Loma is worth the trip. Good price, and good fast repairs, especially when compared to that OTHER place. 8)
