I posted this on the UK site:

Thoughts and comments? Personally I thought it was interesting

What happened to the Uncle Fester line of inquiry was that a hoax or fair dinkum ?. I love this stuff.....'56 was my birth year so the Tom Payne info is interesting for me. Decent sized wave he's on also (for a coffee table with one leg). Keep it up Grayman/Dunc, I watch with interest.

Incredible find Grayman, what's most significant to me is that it appears to be a board made specifically for kneeboarding as opposed to someone kneeriding a paipo or belly board.

I agree; we're looking at THE pioneer right there. I'm in awe...

Hey Grayman, nice photos. You possibly missed this thread a while back.

Only a surfer knows the feeling, but only a kneeboarder knows the feeling of Betty Grable's legs.

Excellent.

I thought the fact he clearly had a board madr for the job rules. Wider and shorter. If only he'd thought to move the skeg forward a touch eh?

It's called "Greg Noll's Search for Surf - '56-'61" and is an amalgamation of Noll's early films.

I got it from a fella on my mat site as it also has a bit of Surfoplane footage on it.
