Hey, Mike, how did you manage to get yourself up to Nova Scotia at the same time as swell arriving?

Well I got some surf today, can you believe barreled my first left! Not epic, and not 15ft, but a slightly bumpy eight foot face on the sets, but only two guys out at one place, and alone at another. I am fried. Should be really good tomorrow. A different left point. :D
AB it's warm kinda 48F, I am baking in my 6/4mm, but too cold for my 3/2.
Scott I was on a surf trip in Rhode Island, but it was small, and I checked the surf report for Nova Scotia, and it said 15ft in two days, so I drove 1000 miles. Hey it's a surf journey, I don't care. Check my pics.

Which pics? I can't find them on your site.

Love the 1000 mile drop-of-a-hat decision to head way north, Mike!

Nova Scotia is flat, so I headed down south, and surfed Old Orchard Beach in Maine today. Hardy crew of about eight friendly loggers out. It was about four foot, some long rides all the way in, but mushy. Swell is dropping. Checked some other places also. Kennebunk Beach looks like it may have some possibilities if it's big. It has loggers, SUP's, and kayaks  and permit parking only in the summer. The Surfriders Foundation had to buy a parking lot because there is HARDLY ANY beach access. F' this place. Onward to New Hampshire, and Rhode Island as I wind my way southerly.

Hey Mike, A very close friend (Nick Truman) owns the Lighthouse Motor Inn there in Old Orchard beach. He's been getting a few foot board 4 -fins from me over the last 20 years.
He owns a big parcel of land on an epic right point in Nova Scotia.
Small world or what?! 8)
