I became his friend on facebook, had a look at the album in question and here is the first comment I saw posted to the album.

I think it says it all...

Joel Tudor; its funny how many things knee riding has contributed to surfing....the short board!!!four fins!!!tube riding!!!n yet they get no luv!!im a george fan through nat young who mentored me as a grom!!!n i realize the truth on how boards got be short!!!i only wish the goons running the mags today had the schooling i had!!!!george was n is still the man n m book!!!thanks guys for still riding n your style of surfing n being a silent reminder of how we all got to riding smaller boards!!!no tree can grow without roots!!!

and not just what kneeboard thinking has provided to surfing but the aesthetics still need appreciation.

kneelos now are a bit like vincent only selling one painting in his life time (to his brother)

im still :( :o  that a fellow kneelo recently suggested that it would be a waste for a young surfer to kneeboard.

on the other hand he did look boardroom suit man so perhaps he perceives all from a buisness rather than pleasure angle
