Balidiot, Ashley Bickerton, called out Bud for his late '70s deep take-offs on 'horror' waves.

You may not quickly recognize the poster... at least until you see his artwork (featured in Surfer's Journal among many others.)

He was a pipeline charger who has sinced moved to a cliff-side abode above Bali's finest breaks. The Surfer's Journal article gives a sense of the scale of surf he enjoys.

It's a cool nod from one legend to another.

Thanks for pulling this one up SFK!! Thru out the decades all the stories and pics. of the intensity of large pipeline have been some of the best tales. Watching Bud on that day must have been awesome to inspire such accolades almost 40yrs later.
