Hey I'm looking to get into kneeboarding more frequent. I tried my friends board and it was really fun. I'm just not sure what to look for in a board as in size, shape, brand, tail, etc. So I'm hoping the kneeboarding experts could give me their advice. I'm 6'3" and 190 pounds just so you can get an idea of how big I am for the board size. Thanks again for everyone who replies.

Cory come to the US Championships in HB in January. I'm sure there will be lots of people to help, and you may even be able to borrow boards. I have one that would suit you.

Yeah, the best thing is to try out the different types of boards and see which style you like. There is the old skool which like the fins more on the tail(classic Lis style fishes) The Aussie school who prefer fins far more forward and tri fins(Flashpoint,Parkes etc) The inbetweens which would best be represented by Blast/ Buddy McCray- quads. Of course these are generalisations but may help on what is out there. This is not to mention the difference in a round pin type of board compared to a fish etc. Different wave different board. There have been serious discussions/debate on which is preferable on this site if you want to wade through that. Many guys on here ride all the above!! I have three boards: One for super fast hollow, sucky, juicy waves; One for all around california type waves up to 6', and a small wave stubb vector. These seem to take care of all my needs. I like Blasts. I'm stoked for your new adventure! Vaya con Dios mi amigo!
