I took a job with friends at Aviso in north Nevada. ive been learning some trick ways to build boards. Im developing a kneeboard design to accept my Stonefish Skegs fin set up. I hope to have the complete package available by summer. the improved methods and materials Aviso is using now have greatly improved the product from previous years ,in the search for strength to weight ratio. its a good crew here working hard making all kinds of boards, customs , racing sup's , kite boards etc.
Ill be able to make molds for my Stonefish Skegs to be made in carbon fiber. expect to see a new line compatible with known mounting systems. (not my preference but if its the only thing holding people back from trying them then i guess the design must be compromised for the masses)
the best thing would be to have your shaper build a board specifically for use with winged fins. Ill be back in the line up soon, ride a wave for me!

Hi Terence, let us know how the surf is at your break.
so far so good with retooling my jigs and such to accommodate those who must have inserts. the first carbon sets are underway, hand made , strength to flex being taken into account. I hope for the first sea trial of this version of Stonefish Skegs to be in the line up for the south swell season!
stay tubed !
