Changes to EQkneelo's Ancestral Beach Break?

A very interesting piece of info crossed my desk today. The County of Marin is looking for consultants to investigate flooding issues on Eskoot Creek in Stinson Beach. Not that surprising, but one of the alternatives they want to consider is rerouting the creek to flow through the north parking lot and out into the pacific. This would prevent the creek from discharging into the lagoon. This alignment would surely discharge sediment/small cobbles and boulders into the ho hum beach break line up. Will this added sediment discharge turn Stinson into a firing river mouth A frame?. Who knows maybe the days of Stinson being a less than stellar beach break are coming to an end. My company may go after the study.

Ps. I have not been on the site in awhile. This winter was off the charts. Working on over 30 days skiing this season with 2/3 of those being epic powder days. Plus the kids are getting to be very good skiers and now they follow me just about anywhere on the mountain. (Hiking for lines is still frowned on by them) Its a hoot!

Syd, with all those cobblestones, if you guys could turn it into something like Trestles I'd sure be grateful.

Uh....trestles is fun and all, but it's kind of a "weenie's" wave.

Since we are wishing..........
Expand the horizon a little.

Can we have it turned into a Nor Cal "Kirra" with waves like this?

Make it too gnarly and fast for longboards and SUPs.

I'm with you Bud, more like Kirra would be killer but compared with what we have around here, something like Trestles would be fine.

Doc, if somebody could do something about the water temp around here, that would REALLY be an accomplishment. 49 degrees last Saturday.

Would love to Al, but going from a relatively expensive place (Oz) to an even more expensive place like Tahiti is more than I can bear in one year.

Mike,
You might rethink that "nice Rocky Point" in February.
Everyone knows the North Shore is full of mean spirited locals.

It's still has a gnarly crowd just waiting to wrestle with non-locals.
I'm mean just take a look at these tough characters.
