I've seen this break look like a mini Pipeline many times.
The kneeboarders would outnumber footboarders 2:1!

I surfed Big Rock when it looked like Pipeline in the early seventies...........

Looked like the tide was too low, hence the " Moids ", ( mid face suck outs ) Mark & Rex Huffman ruled the place at that time. Stand up stand outs at the time were Dale Dobson and Chris O'Rourke, Brew Briggs new the place very well also.

Back in the 70's I went there few times! As I remember it? I got my ass kick by that left and some great tubes rides. Damm am getting old!!!

Broke my collar bone getting sucked over the falls on a clean up set in 1974, I was a stand up at the time.
I switched to kneeboarding soon afterwards,
Could someone post some good shots of the square tubes and drops that make Big Rock = Big Rock

Spoke with Rex Huffman and Bird, they said there is a Big Rock Reunion in July this year at Birds Shed. Would be some great stories to hear that night
