Surfer got attacked by a White at the North Jetty
details still not clear

Guy punched the shark, swam to his board that was floating away, caught a wave into the beach...

Mike I am fine did not surf today thank god
been surfing the North Jetty alot waves have been good

The news reported that surfer had gashes from chest to hip and was in fair condition and that the shark took a 14 inch chunk out of his board

I'm glad Willy, I remember you talking about the north jetty. Did you see that guys board, perfect bite mark. I'd hang it on the wall. Guy was lucky for sure.

We've had alot of sightings around our beaches lately..So a friend and I took his "Heli" up over the Bay searching for Great Whites ...unfortunatley I never saw any.The Bay had a bad case of "redtide" that day....But he assured me, he see's at least one every other time he goes up. Most of his sightings are off La Selva Beach trestle, Seacliffs Cement Ship and just outside the Santa Cruz Wharf... By the way, he does tourist tours daily..... :shock:

So,if you know anyone who wants to come visit our local beaches...remember we've now had two attacks within four years at the same beach...I suggest you STAY AWAY!! :wink:
