Yamo and Billy

Post by matttherat »

Was lurking on the web and found this
you may have to create an account on Vimeo to see
but see it
Yamo at 2:40
Billy The Kid at 4:10

Watch how a kneeboarder pulls into the barrel and exits with a casual shrug...

I have no idea where this is? Maybe........

glassy! and look at those closeouts. the kneelos are princes of the waves among that rabble of knuckle-dragging stand-ups.

so, wave height is described as 8'-10' on that video...i'm getting the impression that in the US you measure the wave face?
when scott said he had his board creased in 13' waves, i thought he was paddling into 26' faces. there i was thinking you lot were a bunch hell men...anyway, i'm off to get worked over in a 2' beachie....just had a look out the front door, make that a 2" beachie.

Whoa...26' faces!!?? Maybe if I was Phil Curtiss in his 60's, but can't conceive of that otherwise.

... or as we like to call it - a head high day. Billy doing what Bill does.

There's a bunch of good stand up surfers there... but that video managed to capture very few of them. Heh. :D :D
