Look like my knees are screaming for pads after a days of surfing. I've always surf without a pad on my board from the beginning in the early '70. I like the feel of the board when riding. I only have one board with a pad shape into the board. I've found it to be more comfortable on my knees after a day of surfing! As I get older I need a to start thinking of adding a pads on all my boards.
So, I have have a few basic questions to my fellow kneelos:
1. Thickness?
2. Does design groove matter?
3. What about water adding more weight to the board with the pad?
4. Is it an easy installation or should someone do for me?
Any helpful hints or suggestion or comments. I would like to hear from you...Frog
Frog, knees are finally going to the lily pads!

I got my first pad last year, I went with a cove pad and I gotta say I really like it. It's not a big adjustment and I believe it's made my surfing a little stronger. It does retain a little water and I like to "drain" it and get it dried out before it goes back in the bag. I went with his thinner thickness and it was an easy process and installation.
