i use a gx centre fin and a mr twin trailer fin as my centre fins. the local surfshop at the jungo gave me the centre fins when i bought a set of thruster fins. but they are in that milky plastic. they flex all over, not just in the tip.
for the life of me, i can't find any suitable small fins that are foiled on both sides in any other material. fcs seem to only offer thruster sets, quad sets and "speciality" -- little snubs and shane horan-style winged fins.
maybe it doesn't matter much. there are probably other areas of my surfing that i should be trying to improve rather than worrying too much about fins. but it bugs me. anybody have any suggestions? should i just make my own fins?
and while i am on the subject...why the hell are the fcs side fins only foiled on one side...i feel like someone didn't finish the job and i'm being ripped off.

It's called a flat foil and they work better than a 50/50 in a front fin. You can also get 80/20's 70/30's and an inside foil which is concave on the inside[ my favorite] as far as a small trailer goes try this DVS center fin, twin stabiliser from shapers

Lefty most thruster sets I have seen all have single foiled side fins, dual foiled center fins.
Fiberglass is definitely better than plastic.
Look at the website, http://www.surffcs.com/shop/surf-thrusters
Maybe you don't have a big selection at your shop over there, maybe you need to order a certain set.
What are you trying to get your board to do? I was trying to loosen up my thruster and put on a center fin that is more straight up and down, than one with rake.
Probably better to try out fins from friends than ask advice from a standup surfer, we tend to turn differently.
Just my thinking.

Try this lot http://www.finshop.com.au/ once you found the fin system you are looking for you can order left right or center.

...those thruster sets have the centre fin the same size as the side fins, i don't want a thruster set up, i want a twinny with a trailer. but using the thruster fins as the twins.
what i'm trying to do is follow bruce hart's recommendations for his flashpoints. and...i surf crowded, shitty beachies and like to slide into the pocket and turn on a dime. i have three seconds before the wave closes out or someone drops in, so i have to get my turns in pretty quick. drawn out, carving turns and drive aren't on the menu.
i certainly don't take advice from stand-ups. i'm insulted you'd even suggest such a thing. they're the ones who have it all wrong. but one at time, i'm getting them to come around -- a guy at my local surfs stand-up on a kneeboard. ':D' i just sold him my quad.

Friend got a set of glass fins from Indofins. Seem fine. Price is right.

I suggest that a larger rear fin would let you turn faster than a small one because the larger fin will give you get up and go, but won't get in the way when you pivot. I went through GX's etc. on Flashpoints many years ago. Graduated to G5 rear and then to AMs as I got more used to the feel. Different strokes, though.
At the price you can get a range of fins for the price of a single FCS "original".
