Drove past the local surf shop the other day and thought I spied a motor powered long board in the window...no I thought not possible!
Walked past today and there it was, a "performance??? Long board", with jets.
Is nothing sacred?
There are three surf shops in OG and this was my one as the owner is a long term local and his kids went to the local primary school as did mine. I cannot believe there will not be locals with eye brows raised or a close surf friend suggesting "W T F" to the owner.
Or have I got it wrong? Is this an acceptable venture into the future?
And some of thought fat men on SUP's were the biggest pains in the arse in the water

A 70 year old friend with a heart condition has one of these. Says it helps him get to the break and catch a couple of waves. He also takes handicapped people for surfs.
Not a worry for me because I won't surf anyplace/conditions he can surf. More of an issue if you're forced to surf soft waves with the masses.

Don't think they have been around long enough for laws to be considered. That might have to wait until there is an accident/incident.
Not even fully sure how they work. Can they simply plough through a pack of people if the rider falls off?
Did note that pretty much all surf craft except kneeboards are on sale from one company, not even sure if they are the only company.
Kneelos must be either too small a market or perhaps too smart a market

It has a jet-ski-type propulsion 'pack' in the center of the board.
This one was developed by a local company. I haven't seen them yet.
