Need a new board.

Post by Remaxman »

Im an old time knee boarder from the 70's and 80's. I've been out of the sport for quite awhile and am now wanting to get back in. I used to have my boards made by Richard Gomez in Oceanside and enjoyed his Mez Fish styles. My last board was a 5'8" quad fish which I sold several years back. Mez is no longer around (Think he moved to Hawaii) and therefore I'm at a loss as to shops or shapers in Southern Cali to contact for a new board. Can any of you make suggestions as to who I should contact or shops I should check out. I live in Oceanside CA and will travel from San Diego to L.A. Any of your suggestions will be greatly appreciated. Thnx!

Also, Craig Russell surfs Oceanside and he usually has several boards he'd be willing to part with. I'm sure you could at least have him bring some down to check out.

And on Sunday, Sept 28th a bunch of kneeboarders will be entering the Wildcoast Dempsey Holder contest in Imperial Beach. Come on down and see what people are riding 8)

Hey Akio, thank you for introducing me to Richard. He's a great guy and shaper. Picked up my board a couple weeks ago and took it out the past two swells. Love it! 8)
