Never knew how much flippers affected my kneeboarding.

Post by fincut »

I had a strap on one of duck feet break while out kneeboarding. They were due to break and wasn't to surprised because of all the striations on the strap.

So after it broke on my left foot, I went right and freaked out. The board felt so weird, so much so that I didn't even like it, it was so unfamiliar.

I'm a tall guy. 6'3 and those duck feet are long so there is some overhang I now realize.

Trippy realizing this is how I've learned to kneeboarding. I've basically only ever had one board.

Anyone else feel the effects of an overhanging fin?

I've used Duckfeet forever and have never noticed any drag while surfing (which is suprising), but I've seen pics of myself and have seen the fin(s) hanging over. Now, when I've surfed without fins I'm amazed at how much more I feel the board, and the overall ride feels great.

I use no fins at all, once I discovered Simon Farrer , no drag at all and less weight means faster. try it out I did and I have not used fins for the last 28 yrs and I love it thanks Simon
