Back into kneeboarding

Hi All,

I used to kneeboard 30+ yrs ago, but due to work, family etc. have been out of the water a long time.

Kids are now gone, and I just had a really nice kneeboard shaped by James Vartanian in Costa Mesa.

Looking for kneeboard friendly spots to get back into the water, any suggestions?

Live in South OC, but travel isn't an issue

Thanks

try upper trestles, T-street, no crowds at the trails for a start

If you have a facebook account, check out the kneelo cove page. Its a page for local HB/NB (or anywhere for that matter) kneelos. Very friendly group.

Thanks for suggestions.

I have always liked Trails because of the solitude, have heard of T-Street, but never been there.

My Nephew says Oceanside pier is a good place, he bodyboards and says he sees kneeboarders there

hey denjwal,

Stoked for you. Oceanside Harbor usually has surf and is a mellow crowd in general. It can get busy but it's still easy to move around and get some waves. There are kneeboarders around as well. Between the Pier and the Harbor are uncrowded peaks.

In February we're going to have a scrimmage at the Harbor (date not set yet) and then the US Kneeboard Titles and Festival at the Harbor on March 10. Try to come out and surf with us!
