Wow, the guy's just kinda making it up as he goes along. I guess because the website has main links to "SURFING
KITEBOARDING, WINDSURFING, BODYBOARDING, SKIMBOARDING, WAKEBOARDING," the author wanted to come up with a narrative that would show some blending from several of these sports. But it's an ill-informed narrative on the historical side for sure...
